Over the last few years, Leeds' based klezmer/Balkan beats/gypsy jazz bohemians Tantz have taken the UK world/roots music scene apart with their full-on musical attack on audiences across the length and breadth of this nation. With awesome musical chops, an energy not seen since punk rock's halcyon days and ability to turn a gentle world music festival crowd into a heaving, pogoing mosh-pit, there's something special about this band that manages to touch almost everyone who hears and sees them live, no matter what music they're into.
Shambolique are a highly energetic and humourous troupe who really need to be seen and heard to be believed. Borne from a desire to make people dance uncontrollably, they recorded their first two demos with drummers - Clive Deamer (Portishead/Roni Size) and Maff Scott (The Egg)

Having already made a very welcome disturbance on the Bristol circuit, Shambolique’s first summer has also seen Small Worlds Festival, Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party and Bestival!

Main ingredients: A super hi energy electro Gypsyfunk quartet with a twist of high chaos. Cooked at 400° for 9 months and served on a bed of harmonic tomfoolery. (Contains nuts)
