UNITED VIBRATIONS, BUCUCRASU, DJ DAD, STEVIE BEAR - Full Moon. Doors 8.30pm - 2am. Free before 9.30pm £3 after! UNITED VIBRATIONS have arrived. Born from Inner Space, we are on a journey of cosmic proportions. Music is our vessel. A sound forged from diversity. We are united in voice and rhythm. Our sound is cyclic. Any linear perceptions of 'genre' or 'style' do it no justice. For pragmatic reasons, we call it 12Tone. Our current location is London, England. It is here that we have been inspired by the beats and harmonies of the world. We are the product of a cultural fusion, which knows no boundaries - only possibilities. Echoes of our ancestors can be heard if you listen closely. We are the continuation of an aural tradition, which goes way back beyond recorded history. Cosmodelic Afro-Punk, Mulatto music, whatever you want to call it - it is HERE and it is NOW!BUCUCRASU... it means “Plenty Funky” in New Orleans parlance. This seven piece acoustic outfit is winning new admirers wherever they play, with their patented brew of Dr John inspired boogie funk. Weaving dance floor inspired rhythms with mesmerising piano grooves, Bucucrasu offers a totally unique and captivating contribution to New Orleans blues, the style that lies at the root of modern funk. They aspire to bring this music to a new generation, and to build on the mindblowing soul and swing boogie innovations of immortal greats like Professor Longhair and James Booker. The band is lead by the vocal talents of Kesty Morrison, with virtuosos Eric Arthur on piano and Jack Salt on beatbox. Add in vocal harmonies, cajun flavoured fiddle, amazing harmonica and double bass players, and the MC skills of Hobaps... it all adds up to a unique blend of elements that’s guaranteed to get the groove on and raise the roof.
